Welcome to the 2020 Stay Afloat Online Fundraising Auction
The mental health of our seafood industry members is a top priority for us, and the unfortunate events of this year have shown us more than ever how important it is to have access to mental health support services. Due to COVID-19 we were unable to hold our biennial fundraising seafood cocktail gala. All proceeds from this online auction will go to our Stay Afloat initiative, in partnership with Rural Alive and Well.
We have a wonderful line up of state-wide products and services that we hope will catch your eye so we can continue to support those who catch your dinner.
The 2020 Stay Afloat fundraising auction has now closed.

The harsh reality for our Tasmanian seafood industry is that health and wellbeing is often neglected.
And to make matters worse, there is no dedicated, on the ground mental health support that specifically targets Tasmanian fishers, processors and marine farmers. The Tasmanian seafood industry wants to make a difference. To date we have raised over $50,000 and are well on the way to making a meaningful difference for industry. TSIC and RAW Tas have commenced a project to address: 1) dedicated on the ground support for seafood operators, delivered through the RAW Outreach Program; and. 2) relevant educational resources to encourage fishers to look out for other fishers, and mates to look out for their mates and to seek further support if needed. We need to raise awareness. We need to drown the stigma around this issue in order to keep help our members Stay Afloat. To achieve this, WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! Please get behind #drownthestigma and put the bumper sticker on your car or wheelhouse. Look out for your mates, and keep health and wellbeing on the agenda.
