Who we are
TSIC values the privacy of individual's personal information. Our website address is: https://www.tsic.org.au
This website and owned and managed by the Tasmanian Seafood Industry Council (TSIC). The fundamental objective of the Privacy Policy is to ensure that TSIC complies with its obligations under The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act) and the Personal Information Protection Act 2004 (TAS) (PIP Act).

Types of information collected
We may collect and hold personal information about you if you submit an online form or purchase via our website, that is, information that can identify you, and is relevant to providing you with the services you are seeking or to providing services to others.

TSIC does not disclose your personal data to any third parties.
Reports may be produced by TSIC for performance measuring activities, which may include data collected on this site. Any data used to produce reports will be ‘de-identified’ to protect personal information. We use Google Analytics to collect and report on user activity on the site.
How long we retain your data
For users that purchase items via our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their purchase. Data recording a transaction is stored by TSIC as required by Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) for seven years. Website administrators can also see that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have made a purchase via our  site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
